Impressionist Photography

For the past few years I have experimented with and developed my skills using intentional camera movement, defocus, and long exposure to create impressionist style photographs.  Most images are in some way nature related, though I have been bringing ICM into the other genres of photography that I enjoy as well.  One project that I have been working on for about four years is the Prairie Abstract project where I started exploring prairie landscapes as abstracts during a long car drive.  The landforms, colours, textures, and shapes and sky sweeping by made something wonderful that I was eager to explore.  I have since brought this style of photography into other areas including architecture, urban, macro, automotive, night/low light, and contemporary photography.
